CITY LIFE IS BETTER THAN COUNTRY LIFE

Today’s point of argument is-City life is better than country life. But I have a lot of reasons to place my opinions against this statement. That is, I like to say that country life is better than city life.
Life in a village has many attractions. It is full of pleasure and peace. One can lead a pleasant and carefree life there. Again, it is free from chaos and disorder, anxiety and violence. The peaceful and easy-going life in a country attracts us very much.
In the country life people can have healthier environment. But in the city air is polluted so seriously that we can hardly take fresh breath. Besides, due to untreated waste, there is odors pollution everywhere. But rural life is free from such pollutions. There is a vast green and a sound peace in village life. But even our capital city Dhaka is the most polluted area in the world. Recently it has surpassed the pollution of the most polluted city in the world, Mexico.
In rural life close harmony exists among dwellers. If a person in a village is in danger or any kind of anxiety, all the other inhabitants come forward immediately with their helping hands. But city dwellers are completely confined within the four walls. Even the dwellers of the neighboring flat do not care for their neighbors.
Cities are considered to be modern slums now a day. Innumerable people live there in unhealthy slums. Besides various crimes are increasingly happening in city life. But these are negligibly less in quantity and quality in the village.
The easy-going life and low cost of living are other attractive aspects of country life. Besides, there is more scope for natural pastimes in country life than city life. So the poet sings—
Under the greenwood tree
Who loves to lie with me
Come hither, Come hither, come hither.

There is an old saying ---God made the village and Man made the city. Is it possible that man’s production is greater than God’s creation. Rather, God is the supreme and the same is his creation. So, there is no doubt about the fact that country life is better than city life.
